Stamford Golf Club is the only golf club in the area offering 52 weeks golf, our course never closes when others in the area are often closed in the bad weather.

About Us
Stamford Golf Club is a hidden gem in the foothills of the Pennines and has an ideal location, bordering Stalybridge, Ashton Under Lyne and Mossley. The course is surrounded by beautiful scenery, in which to enjoy relaxing or competitive golf, as either a member or a visitor with a society or friend.
The course is under the management of Green Keeper John Peirrepoint and his staff who maintain the course to the highest level; it is beautifully presented and maintained. The course has become one of the most desirable locations in the area, introducing many challenges, whilst providing a beautiful backdrop for a pleasant walk.
Our Services
The members of Stamford Golf Club invite you to come and play our golf course and visit our club house, as it is available to share with you for corporate days, golf societies (a visiting society must consist of eight or more players)and private functions. Corporate days can be tailored to suite your needs, as our professional Mark is able to provide a wide range of prizes and our Steward Kirsty and Chef Dane can cater for your food and drink requirements offering extensive choice of menus.
Our clubhouse is the ideal place if you having a corporate day or a celebration, whether it’s a Birthday, Christening or Wedding our clubhouse boasts a great function room with an adjoining conservatory. Kirsty and Dane and their staff will ensure you have an enjoyable experience that you will never forget.
The scenery also makes a fabulous backdrop for those special photographs that make the venue very special and makes you want to come back again and again. If you are looking for a warm and friendly club to either take up the sport of golf or join as a social member make the most of our spectacular scenery that Stamford Golf Club has it to offer.
