About Us

We at MKSM-Engineering are metal fabricators, we remove worn and damaged parts and fit new parts purchased and or manufactured by us and often bespoke to a better design specification when refitting. Often for Vehicles failing MOT such as cars lorries 4×4's and even vehicles.

Metal Fabrication

Cutting metals we use oxy-acetylene or plasma torches, cutters , using a laser, mill bits, torch, etc.
Bending we achieve by hammering (manual or powered) or via press brakes and similar tools (hydraulics).
Modern metal fabricators utilize press brakes (a folding machine) to either coin or air-bend metal sheet or tubing into form.
We assemble parts we manufacture and shape by welding, binding with adhesives, riveting, threaded fasteners, or even yet more bending in the form of a crimped seams. Structural steel (circular or box section) and sheet metal (iron steel and aluminium etc) are the usual starting materials for fabrication, along with welding wire, will join the cut pieces. As with other manufacturing processes, we utilize skill, experience and underpinning knowledge gained at college and university.
